Dr. Mohammad Habib is an Assistant Professor in Islamic Studies in the Department of Religious Studies at Punjabi University, Patiala. Dr. Habib received his Ph.D in 1998 from the Department of Islamic studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi in the topic of “Socio – Cultural Study of Mewat Region (Haryana & Rajasthan) in the Perspective of Islam and Composite Culture”. He is a member of a number of professional organizations of which include; Indian History Congress of India, Indian Council for Philosophical Research and the Indian Council of Oriental Studies. Additionally, Dr. Habib has been involved in numerous R&D projects on subjects titled; Guru Nanak in Dialogue with Muslims: An attempt to Interfaith Understanding, Muslim Legends in Sikh Tradition and Hazrat Saien Miyan Mir – Life and Teachings. Dr. Habib has over 50 published works included research papers and books and has been invited to speak on various fields of religious studies at many national and international conferences. |
